"Reaching Out to People with Special Needs Domestically and Internationally"
There are many opportunities and challenges for reaching out and sharing the Gospel with people who have special needs both in the United States and around the world. During this session,some of those opportunities and challenges will be addressed along with how to do mission outreach to those with special needs. The session will also give attendees tips and suggestions for how to carry out such outreach in their own communities.
Pastor Joel Gaertner is the Vice President of Ministry for the Lutheran Home Association and National Director of the Jesus Cares Ministries (JCM). In that role he guides the work of over one hundred fifty JCM programs nationally and internationally. He also serves as the chairman of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod Commission on Special Ministries. Prior to that, he served at Faith Lutheran Church (Fond du Lac, WI) where he helped that congregation begin a JCM program.
